Munster Rugby has announced a new three-year Motor Partnership with Kearys Motor Group, commencing with the new 2022-2023 season.

To make this announcement, Brendan Keary, CEO, Kearys Motor Group was joined by Dave Kavanagh, Head of Commercial and Marketing, Munster Rugby and players Simon Zebo, Gavin Coombes and Alex Kendellen, who are all Kearys’ Brand Ambassadors.

In keeping with Munster Rugby’s sustainability objectives, Kearys have sponsored a fleet of 10 plug-in hybrid vehicles for Munster Rugby players and Development Staff, with a view to changing them to fully electric vehicles (EVs) early in 2023.

Kearys sponsored Munster Rugby from 2016-2020 through the Renault brand. However, as the relationship developed, it was decided to involve all the brands in Kearys Motor Group which is a main dealer for Renault, Nissan, BMW, Hyundai, Dacia and Mini.

Toyota was the main sponsor of Munster from 2004 to 2013 when Bank of Ireland took over the main commercial partnership and SEAT became the official car partner.

“We are delighted to have the support of Kearys Motor Group as a commercial partner with such similar brand values, and we look forward to our continued relationship with them as we strive to achieve our sustainability goals over the coming years,” said Dave Kavanagh for Munster Rugby.

“We are delighted to support Munster Rugby as we share many brand values including top quality and performance,” added Brendan Keary.

“We are excited to showcase our plug-in hybrid and fully electric range and wish all the players, staff and supporters of Munster Rugby every good wish for the season ahead.”
