The final PTSB NextGen Community Series of 2024, which provides an opportunity for young athletes interested in Para Sports, will be held at the Sport Ireland National Indoor Arena on Saturday, November 16th.
The day consists of various physical challenges and exploring sports such as Boccia, Cycling, Athletics, and Badminton.
Paralympians Kerrie Leonard, Tiarnán O’Donnell and Niamh McCarthy will be present on the day to meet and greet with participants and take part in a Q&A panel discussion to share their Paralympic sporting journeys.
Registration is essential before attending; potential athletes can do so by visiting the Paralympics Ireland website.
While the main focus is on the physical challenges, participants will also have the chance to watch demonstrations of other sports. These activities are designed to help athletes explore their strengths and identify sports that may suit them.
“PTSB NextGen events have become one of the highlights of our sporting calendar,” said Paralympics Ireland Sports Director Neasa Russell.
“From the moment the young participants enter the room, we can see their confidence grow as a world of sporting opportunities opens up.”
On the wave of the Paralympic Games, we’re so excited to bring this final event of 2024 to Dublin and welcome the next generation of Para stars.
