PRL Group has strengthened its commitment to grassroots sport and community development with the announcement of a new sponsorship agreement with Cork Everton AFC, aligning a growing Irish logistics specialist with one of Cork’s most established football clubs.
As part of the partnership, PRL becomes main sponsor of Everton AFC’s schoolboys teams, placing youth development at the heart of the collaboration. The agreement also includes pitchside branding at Everton Park, located near Cork Airport, alongside PRL logo placement on schoolboys and academy jerseys and across the club’s digital platforms.
Founded in 1958, Everton AFC has built a reputation as a community-driven club with a strong youth focus, supported by structured coaching and long-term planning. The club’s approach has been recognised through its status as an FAI Club Mark 2 organisation, the highest level of accreditation within the national framework and one held by only a small number of clubs nationwide.
The partnership illustrates how local enterprise can deliver mutual value through grassroots sport, combining brand visibility with meaningful community engagement.
Violet Devereux, CEO of PRL Group, said the alignment between the two organisations was rooted in shared values. She highlighted Everton AFC’s strong community following and drew parallels between success in business and football, pointing to focus, planning and teamwork as common foundations.
For Everton AFC, the sponsorship provides both practical support and long-term confidence in the club’s vision. Keith Gahan, Chairman of Everton AFC, said PRL Group’s belief in the club was particularly meaningful, noting the company’s strong local presence in Carrigtwohill and its reputation for leading by example in its sector.
