RTÉ Sport is to broadcast live coverage of the Ireland Women’s Rugby 6 Nations clash with France this Friday.  The match will be streamed live across the island of Ireland on RTE.ie and Damien O’Meara will present Friday’s Game On programme on RTE 2FM live from Ashbourne Rugby club with commentary on the match by Michael Corcoran and former reland international Rosie Foley.
The Ireland Women won their first ever triple crown with away wins against Wales and Scotland and a stunning first ever home victory over pre tournament favourites England.
They have secured automatic qualification for the 2014 Women’s Rugby World Cup and are now aiming for a Grand Slam with this game against France followed by a decider against Italy in Rome next weekend.
The live stream of the game at www.rte.ie/sport will be in conjunction with www.irishrugby.ie and will bring the game to a wider audience than has ever been the case.
Highlights of the game will also be shown on RTÉ Television’s coverage of the RBS 6 Nations Men’s game against France from the Aviva Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Coverage of the Ireland Women’s 6 Nations game is a further addition to what will be a very rugby focused weekend on RTE Sport, all available free-to-air.

Saturday will feature the RBS 6 Nations live double header with Scotland V Wales followed by Ireland V France at the Aviva Stadium, with coverage kicking off at 2.00pm on RTÉ Two television, RTÉ Radio 1 Saturday Sport and RTÉ.ie.
