Dublin is to host one of the seven stops that will form the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series 2019.
The platforms will be built at Grand Canal Dock, in the heart of the city on Saturday and Sunday 11th and 12th May, when the world’s elite male and female divers will return to Ireland.
Red Bull created the series in 2009 and it has visited Ireland three times, each to the dramatic but at times barely accessible Serpent’s Lair on Inis Mór.
18 months ago Colm O’Riagáin, Red Bull Ireland’s Head of Communications joined us at the Sport for Business Unleashing Content event to tell us about the impact of designing and delivering such events for the Red Bull brand.
This is the first time the event will be held in the capital, with thousands expected to attend and watch the competition live.
City Centre location provide a different kind of backdrop, as in Copenhagen above, but also bigger live attendance.
A limited number of early bird tickets costing €16 for adult and €8 for children will go on sale next Tuesday, 19th February at 10.00am at RedBull.ie/CliffDiving
It promises to be one of most impactful experiences of the summer.
