joe-schmidt-vodafone-rugbyJoe Schmidt looks likely now to be leading Ireland to the next Rugby World Cup and he will be speaking in Dublin next month at ‘Courage to Succeed’ the second National Business Conference being hosted by Bord Gais Energy.

He will also be joined by Newstalk presenter and Pundit Arena Columnist George Hook and business leaders including Jerry Kennelly of Tweak.com.

Sport for Business is pleased to be an official partner of the event and will be producing content in advance as well as on the day capturing thoughts on how business success can be achieved.

The day will kick off, appropriately with a talk from renowned international rugby kicking coach Dave Alred on how pressure can be utilised as a tool for success.

“Based on the success of our first national Leadership Conference last September, and the Cork Business Breakfast in April, we’re delighted to back in Dublin again this October with a range of top class speakers who are sure to inspire, provoke and engage attendees,” said Bord Gais Energy Managing Director Dave Kirwan.

“With the economy showing signs of improving, businesses are growing. This growth stimulates competitiveness and means that now, more than ever, businesses need to take risks to succeed.”

“Risk-taking in business requires great courage, and it is for this reason that we have chosen ‘Courage to Succeed’ as the theme for this year’s national conference.”

“We know that behind every great business is a strong leader and leadership team, and successful leaders need to be brave in the face of adversity, which sometimes means making difficult decisions that demand courage and resilience.”

Tickets for the event, taking place on the morning of Wednesday, October 5th at the mansion House in Dublin are available here.
