The Rugby World Cup or the Webb Ellis Cup to give it its formal title is continuing a tour of Ireland with an appearance this morning at Tesco in the Merrion Shopping Centre.

It was in Thomond Park on Sunday and Belfast and Galway before that as part of an Islands tour to enable fans get close to what will be the most coveted prize in world sport this September and October.

Coca Cola are the brand behind bringing the trophy to Dublin.  They signed up as an official supplier to the tournament, with Brian O’Driscoll as a brand ambassador at the end of last year.

Today’s event is under the ‘#ChooseHappiness’ campaign currently looking at ways to brighten peoples lives.

Fans will be able to get their picture taken with the trophy and there will also be the opportunity to win tickets for Ireland matches at the tournament.

The 2015 Rugby World Cup takes place in England and Cardiff from September 18th until October 31st.
