The European Champions’ Cup has unfortunately been of passing interest to the most committed fans at the business end this year but maybe it will be much more next season to at least one individual.
The organisation which runs both it and the European Challenge Cup are seeking a new Head of Communications and Public Relations to be based in Neufchatel in Switzerland.
It is a senior role and one that was performed very well when the Heineken Cup team was based in Dublin by John Corcoran who is now part of the Communications team at Glanbia.
Like any senior role in communications it will require more than good relationships with media. The development of digital assets and working alongside the commercial department to ensure satisfaction of sponsorship partners are both listed as key attributes.
