One of Ireland’s oldest amateur sporting events celebrates 103 years this weekend as the Junior Lawn Tennis Championships of Ireland come to a conclusion in the Fitzwilliam Lawn Tennis Club in Dublin.

Sponsored by William Fry the tournament attracts the top tennis talent from U12 through to U18 and this is the ninth year in a row it has been held in the Fitzwilliam Club.

It was also the venue for the AIG Irish Tennis Open this year, another example of how blue chip companies are continuing to build a relationship with the sport here.

This is the eighth year of Wiliam Fry’s sponsorship. The tournament has seen a number of stars compete down the years including Irish Number One tennis player James McGee as well as a lad who went on to reasonable success in another sporting pursuit, Jonathon Sexton.

The Finals take place throughout Saturday and admission is free if you want to spot some potential future stars of the game in action.
