Shelbourne Football Club has confirmed the departure of Barry Mocke as Chief Executive Officer.

Mocke joined the club in 2023 and has overseen significant advances in his time there, the most obvious being the retention of Damien Duff as manager and the winning of the SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division in 2024.

“The club extends its sincere gratitude to Barry for his hard work and dedication and wish him all the very best in the next stage of his career,” said a statement from the club.

Sport for Business understands that it was an amicable parting of the ways.

Neil Doyle, Shelbourne co-owner will oversee club operations in the short term pending an announcement of a new CEO.

SPORT FOR BUSINESS PERSPECTIVE
