Special Olympics Collection

Sport for Business is to donate five per cent of the value of all new subscriptions signed up to before midnight on April 11th to Special Olympics Ireland.

The donation is to mark next Friday’s national collection day when more than 3,500 volunteers will take to the streets to raise money for the cause.

This is a special year for Special Olympics with the National games taking place in Limerick between June 12th and 15th.  That will involve 1,500 athletes coming together from every corner of the country.

In 2015 the focus will shift firmly to the World Summer Games to take place in Los Angeles.

“All of the effort that goes into preparing to compete needs to be matched by our providing the right support to bring these games to life,” said Special Olympics CEO Matt English.

“We are grateful for every cent that the national collection day delivers and once again are grateful to Sport for Business for this generous gesture.”

Every new membership or booking for a Sport for Business event between now and Friday April 11th will be tagged and the 5% value contributed to Special Olympics Ireland as a small gesture towards a massive good that they deliver to clubs, athletes and families every day,” said Rob Hartnett, founder of Sport for Business.
