Each week we will look at one sponsor for the weekend’s sporting action and take a look at why they got involved and how they are making their relationship with sport work.

We spoke to Marketing Director Jimmy George from his Newmarket base in England.
What was it that attracted you to the Curragh in the first place?
Tattersalls has always been deeply committed to the Irish racing and breeding industry and The Curragh is the home of Irish racing.
We have sponsored the Group 1 Tattersalls Gold Cup for many years and when the opportunity to support both the Irish 1000 and 2000 Guineas presented itself, we leapt at it.
It is one of the best and most prestigious weekend’s of racing in the calendar and fits the Tattersalls profile perfectly.
How have you distinguished Tattersalls as the best place to go to buy a winner of the race in future years?
Tattersalls has long been established as the premier source of European Classic winners with English and Irish 2014 Classic winners Australia, Night of Thunder and Kingston Hill, as well as recent 1000 Guineas winner Legatissimo all purchased at the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale.
The Tattersalls sponsorship of the Irish Guineas Festival is designed to reinforce our reputation as the best place to buy a future Classic winner while emphasising our support for the Irish racing and breeding industry.
How will you be working the racecourse to ensure your key messages are got across to the right audience?
In addition to extensive Tattersalls signage at The Curragh we will be entertaining a very large number of key clients at the racecourse on both days of the Festival.
Building long term working relationships with our vendors and purchasers has always been a crucial element of the business and being the title sponsor of such an important weekend in the European racing calendar provides us with a fantastic opportunity to achieve this at an important time of year for Tattersalls.
The Tattersalls Irish Guineas Festival coincides with our peak period of yearling inspections at stud farms throughout Ireland so the timing of the sponsorship fits very well. We will also endeavour to work with the key media throughout the two days to spread the Tattersalls message to as wide an audience as possible.
