Sports clubs and bodies at universities and colleges will be better equipped to manage events and offer decent partnership opportunities after the first student networking event to be organised by the Colleges and Universities Sports Association of Ireland (CUSAI).
Students involved in running sport will gather next Wednesday, October 10th in the Astra Hall at UCD to learn about organising events, making the most of social media and how to build an attractive package for commercial partners.
As well as offering like minded students involved in sports clubs the opportunity to network the afternoon will include presentations on different topics and best practice that will aid students club officers in the undertaking of their roles and functions.
Many companies within the Sport for Business community have alumni networks that play a part in college life and this will raise the bar of how a return might be seen on investment in college sport.
There are a number of innovative programmes being developed around student sporting and cultural activities and Sport for Business will be there on Wednesday to report back on from where some of the best are likely to emerge.
