We will be at Croke Park this morning for Sports Venue Business Live, with 50+ world-class speakers focused on elevating and innovating the live experience, through architecture and design, customer journey, fan/VIP experience, hospitality, fit-out and interiors, premium sales and service, sustainability, technology and venue commercialisation.
The first SVB LIVE Global Networking Event took place in Perth, Australia, with speakers from the AFL, Football West and Paatsch Group, whilst the second, sold-out edition, took place at Marvel Stadium, with speakers from Tennis Australia, Football Australia, Stadiums Tasmania and Melbourne and Olympic Parks.
This is the first time that SVB Founder Katie McIntyre has brought the event ‘home’ and it promises to be an event that puts Ireland centre stage as a host of major events.
The opening keynote will be delivered this morning by Peter McKenna, Stadium Director of Croke Park and Commercial Director of the GAA.
Karl Boyle of Connacht Rugby will be joined by representatives from the Principality Stadium in Cardiff and Everton’s new stadium in Liverpool, pictured above, for a discussion on new build and renovation of major stadia.
There will be talks through the day on sustainability featuring Fiona Cronin of Croke Park, frictionless technology, generative AI, premium experience, ticketing and more.
The second day tomorrow will feature our friends Brendan Meehan of the Aer Lingus College Football Classic and Vicki Donlon of Horse Racing Ireland talking about partnerships, as well as discussions on design, on optimising fan journey’s with Geoff Wilson and a closing keynote with John Morello of Riptide Partners on the State of the Industry.
It promises to be a heads up experience, learning from global leaders about how the experience of attending major events can be the best it can be.
With Open Championships, Ryder Cups, Euro Championship Finals and Cricket World Cups coming to Ireland in the next few years, there has never been a better time.
The Sport for Business Membership comprises nearly 300 organisations, including all the leading sports and sponsors, as well as commercial and state agencies.
