TG4 has announced the live broadcast of the 2021 Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series this Sunday, September 12 at 3.00pm.
12 men and 12 of the world’s elite cliff divers will gather at Downpatrick Head in County Mayo and push themselves to their limits by diving from heights of up to 27m, at speeds in excess of 85 KMH into the sea below.
This will be the fifth time the competition has taken place in Ireland since 2012. The event has previously been held in Inis Mór in the Aran Islands, County Galway and Dún Laoghaire, Co. Dublin.
TG4 has previously broadcast the deferred coverage and highlights from the event in Ireland but this year is the first time that the competition will be shown live.
Spórt TG4 and Bloc TG4 (TG4’s short-form video content hub for 18+ audiences) will also have exclusive behind the scenes action from the event across its social media channels on the September 11 and 12.

The epic scenery of the west of Ireland coastline, teamed with the wildness of the Atlantic Ocean will be make for a great afternoon of extreme sporting entertainment, on what could potentially be a historic weekend for Mayo in other sporting endeavours.”
