The question of drugs in sport has rarely been more relevant and especially so once more in cycling after weekend coverage of Bradley Wiggins and Therapeutic Use Exemptions.

This evening at around 18:20 on Today FM’s Last Word with Matt Cooper journalist Paul Kimmage and Sport for Business’ Rob Hartnett will go head to head on the merits and morality of Lance Armstrong appearing at next month’s One Zero Conference in Dublin.

He will be part of perhaps the most influential sports gathering ever to take place here with Alex Trickett, Head of Sport with Twitter, Mounir Zok, Head of Innovation at the US Olympic Committee, Sir Clive Woodward and Shane Lowry among those taking part in a broad look at the future of sport and how technology is impacting upon it.

Armstrong has proven an electrifying addition to the bill and has prompted heated debate over whether he should be on stage at all.

Our view is that it is only in knowing the how and why of events of the past that things can be done differently and better in the future.

Hearing Armstrong speak about his own past and how things are within sport today promises to be an experience few will forget and One Zero is his only European appearance of 2016.

Listen live tonight to hear the opposing sides of why he should be heard or not.
