We like listening to podcasts at Sport for Business and every now and again we come across an episode that we feel will be of real interest to our members.

Each Thursday we will highlight one such episode that might be of interest when you are out for a walk, on your way home or looking for something that will make you think.

They will mostly be around and about the business of sport, they will come from all over the world and while if you are a podcast aficionado you may have heard them already, it is still something that is of value to those who haven’t.

Galway GAA star and Audi Galway brand ambassador Shane Walsh sat down with host Sonya Lennon for series two, episode two of Driving Progress, a podcast series by Audi.

Walsh, who was at the centre of a fractious debate last year over club loyalties and his move to Kilmacud Crokes opens up on the challenges of his transfer to Kilmacud Crokes, dealing with adversity and the importance of imagination and visualisation on the GAA field.

He speaks candidly about the turbulent past 12 months as he made the decision to move from his home club, describing it as the “toughest experience I have had in my life”.

We learn about his current Galway manager Paraic Joyce also being his teacher in National School and more. An interesting listen as Championship season gets into full swing.

After a short break the Sport for Business Podcast will return next week with two new episodes in a new Sponsorship marketplace Series on Tuesday and the latest in our Sports Technology series on Thursday.
