Searing Point Wealth Management have been announced as the main partner of Ireland’s U20 Women’s Volleyball team, ahead of the historic U20 European Championships, that begin in Dublin next week.

Ireland will become the first ever nation, from the Small Countries Division of Europe, to compete in a major European Championship finals, when the event begins on August 5th at the Sport Ireland Campus, Blanchardstown.

Ireland’s seven-match Championship begins with Portugal before taking on world champions Italy, Poland, Serbia, Ukraine, Czechia, and Finland. In addition to the on-court action, a range of programmes will take place during the event, including a Women in Sport Day on August 10th.

Sport for Business members have been invited to the European Championships, reach out to Gary via Linkedin or gm@volleyballireland.com to request a couple of tickets.

“I am ecstatic that Searing Point Wealth Management will invest in our future stars,” said Volleyball Ireland President Clodagh NicCanna.

“These players have so much potential, and relationships like this really make all the difference.”

“We’ve worked with Searing Point from a finance and accountancy perspective for many years and have been impressed by the personal touch and importance they place on their relationships. It’s a natural fit to work with a partner that is so focused on long-term growth and development.”

“This is a historic event for the sport and will showcase the talent of our women’s team,” added Patrick Thorpe, Managing Director with Searing Point Wealth Management.

“To succeed at a high level in sport you need perseverance, dedication, and teamwork—values that resonate deeply with our company values.”

“We are committed to helping foster opportunities for women to achieve their goals in all areas of their lives, including sports and financial independence. We wish the team and organisers the very best with the event.”

“Having the support of a reputable Irish company like Searing Point Wealth Management is vital for our preparation and performance. It allows us to focus on the court, knowing that the financial pressures are taken care of,” said Ireland Team Captain Laura Connolly.

One of the world’s biggest brands—DHL—will join Searing Point as team partners. DHL will adorn the Ireland sleeve alongside global recruitment company CPL. Volleyball Ireland has secured ten event sponsors, which has delighted CEO Gary Stewart.

“The support of Irish-based companies and world-class international brands has been fantastic, and it really shows the value of an inclusive, diverse, and exciting sport like volleyball. Honestly, once we mapped out our vision for the sport and told the recent growth story, it was an easy sell. We’ll be spotlighting our main event partners over the coming days.”

This will be a great event and an opportunity to keep the Olympic vibe going with a visit to the Sport Ireland National Sports Campus to see one of the world’s most popular sports played to a higher level than ever before seen on Irish soil.
