John Sheil’s heads up the Manchester United Foundation and will share the story of how they use the power and reach of football to engage and inspire young people to build a better life for themselves and unite the communities in which they live.
It promises to be an inspiring climax to a morning packed full of real instances of how sport is creating positive social impact and how this area of the relationship between sport, business and the community is developing into such a key area.
On the day we will have discussions featuring some of Ireland’s leading brands helping to make a difference; looking at new research into the value for business of doing good; and publishing our first Sport for Business Sport for Social Good Annual report highlighting the best projects out there.
“This promises to be among the most important initiatives we have been part of,” said Sport for Business Founder Rob Hartnett.
“It is wonderful to have Manchester United coming to town and will be a real eye opener to see and hear what they are doing to leverage the power of their engagement with communities to produce lasting and effective social change.”
“It will be an opportunity for Sport for Business members and friends to get under the skin of one of the most effective and rapidly developing sectors of the partnerships they have or are looking to bring to life.”
The Sport for Social Good Report and Half Day Conference are supported by Allianz and the conference will take place at the Wood Quay Venue as part of Dublin SportsFest.
Further speakers will be unveiled over the coming days as we build up to the event.
