Club players in the finals of the 2022 currentaccount.ie All-Ireland Intermediate and Senior Club Championship Finals will get to taste the experience of playing in Croke Park on Saturday, December 10.

This is a historic development for the LGFA as it will mark the first time that All-Ireland Ladies Club Football Championship Finals will be played at the famous venue.

In recent years the Finals have been played at Parnell Park in Dublin. Both of the games will be televised live on TG4 with the Intermediate decider throwing in at 3 pm, followed by the Senior Final at 5 pm.

The news comes too late or will perhaps act as a spur to perennial local champions Mourneabbey from Cork, eight-time Munster Champions up until this year, and Foxrock Cabinteely, seven-time Dublin Champions up until this year, both of whom are already out of this year’s Championship.

It is a major boost for sponsors’ currentaccount.ie, part of the credit union network who came on board as title sponsors during Covid in October 2020 and have now landed a major day out at the country’s biggest sporting arena.
