Irish Sponsorship Awards LogoThe Irish Sponsorship Awards will be presented at a special black tie ceremony in Dublin tonight.  The shortlist of finalists across 15 categories was announced last week  and judging has taken place but as one of those involved in the selection of the winner, our lips are sealed.

Rob Hartnett of Sport for Business will be on stage to present the award for Best use of Radio in sponsorship activation where the shortlisted finalists are:

  • Carlsberg for Join The Greats submitted by Carat Ireland
  • Ford EcoSport submitted by Today FM
  • HSE for ‘THINK’ Campaign submitted by Carat Ireland 
  • Liberty Insurance for GAA 15 for 15 submitted by MediaWorks and Today FM
  • Vodafone & Electric Picnic ‘Follow the Feeling’ submitted by Today FM

The shortlisted campaigns for Sports Sponsorship of the year are:

  • AIB for GAA Club Championship #TheToughest submitted by Rothco
  • AIG for Dublin GAA
  • Boylesports for Irish Greyhound Derby
  • Etihad Airways for the GAA Hurling All Ireland Senior Championship 
  • Join Spar & Ray for 5k 

Sport for Business members Coca Cola, Heineken, Liberty Insurance, Ulster Bank, Eircom, Special Olympics, Bank of Ireland, BT Ireland, AIG and RTÉ have also been shortlisted in different categories and we look forward to seeing many friends and colleagues at the event in the Doubletree Hilton Hotel where there will be an audience of over 300 and we understand, a little bit of improv comedy around the sponsorship scene from the stage.
