The Irish Sponsorship Awards take place tonight in Dublin and will bring together leaders from across the sector as well as a whole bunch of members of the Sport for Business family.

In what is a night of celebration of the work which you all do every day of the week, Sport for Business members have no fewer than 29 campaigns that are shortlisted for prizes.

Sports Direct have been shortlisted with the LGFA for Gaelic 4 Mothers and Others in Best Societal Sponsorship and Best Low Budget Sponsorship, with Cork GAA in Best Sports team or Athlete Sponsorship, with the Men’;s and Women’s FAI Cups for Best Sporting Event Sponsorship, as well as for Best Sponsorship Brand and Best Sponsorship Team

PwC have been shortlisted for Best Entertainment and Event Sponsorship with the Camogie All Stars, with the IRFU for the Ireland U20’s partnership in Best Sports Team or Athlete Sponsorship and with Image Media for Best Multi-Platform Sponsorship

Lidl Ireland have been shortlisted for Get Behind the Fight in Best use of PR, best Societal Sponsorship, and Best Multi-Platform Sponsorship as well as for Best Sponsorship Brand.

Aer Lingus and Irish Rugby have been shortlisted for Best Sports team or Athlete Sponsorship as well as for Best Sponsorship Team

Boylesports have been shortlisted for Best Use of PR for the Journey to Cheltenham, and for Innovation in Sponsorship for the Irish Grand National.

St Patrick’s Festival have been shortlisted for ‘What Powers Us and The Trash Wave in Best Arts and Cultural Sponsorship, and with Dublin City Council for Relaxed Parade Space in Best Societal Sponsorship

SSE Airtricity have been shortlisted for Best TV Broadcast Sponsorship, and for Best Use of Media Channels

Irish Life and the GAA have been shortlisted for Best Societal Sponsorship

Electric Ireland have been shortlisted for Darkness into Light in Best Societal Sponsorship.

AIG Ireland have been shortlisted for Best Sports team or Athlete Sponsorship

Special Olympics Ireland and Gala Retail have been shortlisted for Best Sports team or Athlete Sponsorship

The Aer Lingus College Football Classic has been shortlisted for Best Sporting Event Sponsorship

The KPMG Women’s Irish Open has been shortlisted for Best Sporting Event Sponsorship.

Sky Ireland have been shortlisted for Best radio Broadcast Sponsorship.

Horse Racing Ireland and O’Donnell Whiskey have been shortlisted as Best Multi-Platform Sponsorship

There may of course be some additional recognition in the Best Sponsorship of the Year and the Outstanding Contribution Award which will be presented tonight as well.
