Stadium naming rights for £50
The Aviva Stadium may be so named for a consideration of €40 million but a stadium naming rights package in England is on the market for somewhat less.  Bath City who play in the top level of non league football are selling their Twerton Park Stadium name for £50.
To attach your name as a business or an individual you have to purchase a special match package of four tickets for the club’s game against Forest Green on Easter Monday.  At half time a name will be drawn out of a hat and for the 2012/13 season the name chosen by the winner will adorn the stadium.
Bath City have made it to the third round of the FA Cup six times in their history.  There is an attraction to having Adrian Chiles go over to the ‘Sport for Business’ Stadium for Bath City against Manchester City…
Deloitte supports additional 86 Paralympic athletes in UK
Deloitte in the UK is to provide funding for a further 86 disability athletes through the Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS). TASS is a national programme, created in 1976 and managed by SportsAid, which helps top British sportsmen and women who are in higher or further education.
Since becoming the scheme’s disability sports partner in 2007, Deloitte has made over 500 TASS awards to more than 300 disabled athletes throughout the UK. These have included Beijing Paralympic gold medal winners Eleanor Simmonds and Matt Skelhon.
Catherine Bayley, disability sport manager at Deloitte, said: “It is vital to invest in young talent and sustain that investment to ensure an impact is made. In the five years we have supported the TASS scheme, we are proud to have helped athletes achieve their dreams at Beijing, Vancouver and now in London.
“Deloitte’s long term Investment in disability sport means that later this year we expect around a third of the Paralympics GB team to have received Deloitte TASS support at some point in their career.  To see athletes reaching their goal is an incredible return on that investment.”
Club final hangs in balance
Sunday’s AIB All Ireland Junior Club Championship Final hangs in the balance this morning as Derrytresk consider whether to appeal the penalties handed down after the semi final brawl which saw seven players suspended and the club banned for five years from provincial and national level competitions.
If a decision is taken to appeal these punishments to arbitration or through the courts, Sunday’s game is likely to be postponed, perhaps indefinitely.
The club had been preparing for the biggest day in its history in more regular fashion and has appointed Endslate Media to film the game for subsequent sale on DVD to players and supporters.  A decision from the club is expected today, Friday.

Sport for Business making connections
Sport for Business was honoured to be one of the external presenting companies at yesterday’s Accenture Festival of Ideas in the National Conference Centre.  An audience of almost 1,000 staff gathered to exchange thoughts and ideas that can be brought back to the many client companies with whom they work.  We would like to welcome the almost 100 of those staff who signed up to receive this Sport for Business Digest and look forward to featuring some of their initiatives building bridges between Sport and Business over the coming months.
We were also invited to attend the AGM Dinner of the Dublin Chamber of Commerce last night, as guest of founder member Ulster Bank.  The power of collective thinking was also very much in evidence and we will have exciting developments to announce as we continue to mark the great year of Irish sport which Ireland is enjoying at home and abroad.
