This is the fifth year of the cycle that was founded by Michael Dawson of One4All and has raised a significant sum for relief of poverty and suffering in Haiti.
The Cycle has always had a strong business network at its core, with many of the finalists from the EY Entrepreneur of the Year taking part and getting to know each other in a way that would never otherwise be possible.
Special Bond
“When you are feeling the same pain in your legs as your colleagues that creates a special bond which carries through into wanting to do business together,” said Michael Dawson, who was also a key player in introducing the Bike to Work Scheme in Ireland and who remains a keen cyclist himself.
The Inter-Company Challenge is made up of 10 tests each team will face along the way including a slow bike race, obstacle courses, king of the mountain and more with spot prizes available along the way.
Each person participating is asked to raise €500 of which €120 covers all of their food, accommodation and transport costs with the balance going to the Soul of Haiti Foundation.
