‘Your Shout Counts’ will give fans the opportunity to ‘shout’ for their favourite players each week, with prizes of match tickets up for grabs and the opportunity for comments to feature on the eircom gas website.
Other popular engagement features including the forecasting game of ‘Win, Lose or Draw’ and the Weekly Quiz, are back again with prizes including GAA Football All-Ireland Final tickets once again be up for grabs.
There were over 250,000 gameplays on the site by the end of last season, while the use of the Huggity fan pic also brought a strong social media feel to the sponsorship. This enabled people who were at the Dublin Kerry semi final to identify themselves in a 360 degree high definition picture and share there image through Facebook for a chance to win tickets and other merchandise.
Quad Play
The site has been optimised for tablets and smartphones, platting well into the quad play proposition which eircom promotes of fixed line, mobile, broadband and TV.
The weekly online GAA Blog will be data driven, taking stats from fans’ predictions and shouts, tracking what fans think over the course of the season and building into a fine record of what the season will hold.
eircom GAA social media channels will be an active part of the campaign and we look forward to seeing further innovation in how the game is brought to the fans throughout the year.
“We are delighted with our continued partnership with eircom,” said GAA President Liam O’Neill.
Interactive
“Interactive platforms like ‘Your Shout Counts’ and Win, Lose or Draw keep the excitement of match day going, and bring the fans even closer to the game.”
“We all know the passion of GAA fans, and the support teams get from their fans makes a real difference to how they perform,” added Kevin White, Managing Director of eircom consumer.
“This year, through ‘Your Shout Counts’, fans can salute deserving players online for the world to see and bring the debate around the best teams and best players to life on this interactive platform.”
“As an official sponsor of the GAA Football All-Ireland Senior Championship, we understand the need for supporting these games – for players, for teams and for fans.”
