Huggity at RDSNext week’s Discover Ireland Horse Show will feature a fan pic from Irish technology company Huggity for the first time. The deal has been struck with Land Rover as sponsor of the popular Puissance competition on the Saturday of the five day event which draws huge crowds to the Ballsbridge venue.

Huggity has previously taken the 360° image of crowds at the Aviva Stadium, Croke Park and at international venues including Old Trafford. The technology required is unobtrusive and when the picture is published the following day those who are at the RDS can search for themselves, friends and family in the crowd and share the image of themselves at the event on social media.

To date the Huggity technology has generated just short of 20 million branded posts in social media for brands and events.

Competition

Anybody who shares their image from the RDS will be entered in a competition to win the prize of a Land Rover off road driving experience with an overnight stay in Carton House.

“The Land Rover Puissance FanPic will add another dimension to our sponsorship,” said Melanie McCourt, Marketing Manager with Jaguar Land Rover in Ireland. “It’s a smart way of offering those who are there on the day an opportunity to engage with the event and with us as sponsors after they have enjoyed the experience of being there.”

Bewleys Hotels, Diageo and the National Aquatic Centre are among the other sponsors of next week’s events which always mark a high point for the RDS which last month announced details of a major new development of the Arena in partnership with Leinster Rugby.
