RTÉ Sport revealed details yesterday of its summer coverage of the GAA Championship season.
31 games will be broadcast live in high definition on on RTÉ Television including all six provincial finals in Hurling and Football, four All Ireland Quarter Finals, Four All Ireland semi Finals and both All Ireland Finals in Hurling and Football as well as the Camogie All Ireland Final.
The first game will be next weekend when Donegal take on Tyrone in the Opening clash of the Ulster Championship.
Henry Shefflin is the big new signing to the analyst line up and he will be on duty on May 24th in Thurles for Clare and Limerick in the Munster Championship.
The Sunday Game will be back for it’s 37th year next Sunday as well, hosted as ever by Des Cahill who will be talking through the highs lows and undoubted controversies arising from over 100 Championship games across the summer.
The show will also be broadcast to GAAGo subscribers this year, broadening the reach of the programme to fans in the UK, United States, Europe, Australia and around the world. It will be available live and on demand.
Radio One through it’s Saturday and Sunday Sport programmes will broadcast full commentary from 30 live matches and will also include analysis from a wide range of experts including Ger Brennan and Micheál O’Muircheartaigh.
Online the RTE.ie website will be supported by twitter, Facebook and instagram accounts keeping up to date with live scores and news from around the country.
