They were also out and about on the streets of Dublin announcing a two year extension to support of Irish Olympic gymnast Kieran Behan as he continues his preparations for Rio next year.
The photograph above was captured by Billy Stickland of Inpho.ie and is one of a series taken against different Dublin backdrops.
Behan recounted yesterday how he had been attacked by a gang in London, resulting in his having a broken nose and stitches but ended with the gang, all seven of them, being arrested after he chased them away.
That is just another chapter in a storied history that involved near death and paralysis before making it to the Olympics in London.
Behan leaves today for Baku where he will be part of the irish team competing at the first European Olympic Games.
He will be joined on the plane by Aileen Reid who goes into Saturday morning’s Women’s triathlon as the highest world ranked competitor in the field.
Irish viewers can see the games via BT Sport and Setanta Sports.
