
The role has become vacant following the announcement that Sarah O’Connor is to leave to take up a new position as Head of Sport at Wilson Hartnell.
According to the job description “The successful candidate should have demonstrable experience of building and sustaining positive partnerships with a wide variety of stakeholders. Experience of motivating, leading and influencing change in a membership focused environment is desirable. Gravitas, strong interpersonal skills and an inclusive leadership style are key requirements, as is experience of implementing successful commercial strategy. Experience of having worked within a sporting organisation is desirable but not essential.”
It is a role which will cross over between the many different strands of sport in Ireland and Sport for Business looks forward to maintaining the strong positive relation we have built up with Sarah and the Federation team over the past three years.
The successful candidate will be a key player in maintaining the profile that sport has within Government and wider society.
