Students are being given an opportunity to attend the Longines Champions Weekend for free on September 12th and 13th, and to experience the very best of the racing industry.
A deal between Horse racing Ireland and Godolphin, the Global racing stable founded by the Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed will also enable 100 of those who register for the free admission to also enjoy a special guided tour of Kildangan Stud in County Kildare.
If any further encouragement was needed there will also be a special prize open to all who participate in the tours with two winners will be selected by competition to receive a trip of a lifetime to Dubai including three nights’ accommodation. The itinerary will include cultural and racing experiences.
Strategy
“This initiative builds on Horse Racing Ireland’s strategy for student involvement in horse racing and we warmly welcome Godolphin’s support for a great incentive to students to take an interest in racing at the highest level, said Brian Kavanagh, CEO of Horse Racing Ireland.
“It further enhances what will be an extraordinary weekend of racing and provides a wonderful opportunity to participate in a very enjoyable trip with a business dimension that will appeal to any ambitious student with an interest in the racing industry.”
“Godolphin is delighted to be entering into this partnership with Horse Racing Ireland for Longines Irish Champions Weekend,” added Joe Osborne of Kildangan Stud and Godolphin’s representative in Ireland.
Unique
“We hope our partnership will help to attract a new generation of fans to our wonderful sport, as we offer a unique opportunity to see some of the top names in horse racing battle it out at Leopardstown and the Curragh.”
Student race days have proved popular at Leopardstown, Fairyhouse and Limerick in recent years and the take up of this offer could add thousands to the attendance for what will be the highest profile and most internationally significant race meeting ever to be staged in Ireland.
Sponsors include Quipco, Palmerston House, Longines and Jaguar (pictured above) who will all be activating over the course of the two days.
To avail of this offer, students must register online at www.irishchampionsweekend.ie before Tuesday 8th September.
