Red Bull has announced a new partnership with Galway GAA as official drinks partner for all Galway football and hurling teams at senior, minor and U21 levels.

This is the third GAA related partnership the energy drink has forged in recent years.

Red Bull Longest Day was created in 2015 marking the summer solstice, pagan Ireland and a celebration of hurling with games played in the shadow of the Rock of Cashel.  Galway’s Joe Canning was a leading light in that and one of the Red Bull team of Irish athletes.

Bernard Brogan is another and he was instrumental in the Red Bull Cúl 5, a high energy five-a-side Gaelic football tournament which has run for the past two years.

Both events will return in 2016 with details to be announced soon.

Red Bull’s involvement in Gaelic Games is similar to the level of support the brand has established across a multitude of sports, ranging from field sports to surfing, triathlon and skiing.

Some of the most significant partnerships include the New York Red Bulls in soccerIronman triathlon and the Wings for Life World Run.

“Galway GAA is delighted to be linking with such a progressive company as Red Bull,” said John Hynes, CEO of Galway GAA.

Both Red Bull and Galway GAA have matching ambitions and look forward to continued success on and off the field.
