Tickets still for Sale

Ticket sales for the Euros look set to break all previous records but there are still some available to buy for tomorrow night’s opening ceremony and match between France and Romania in the Stade de France.
In fact the UEFA ticket portal still has match tickets on general sale this morning for 17 of the games in the group stage, including Northern Ireland’s game against Ukraine in Lyon on 16th June.
There are none available for any of the Republic of Ireland’s three games.

Fantasy games are spreading across the internet like wildfire and Elvery’s Intersport are the latest to join the party with a Pick Five competition based around selecting players to perform best in Ireland’s three games going live today.
It’s a free to enter game which will keep your interest going in the tournament and with winners of each game walking away with an Irish jersey signed by the Euro 2016 squad.
Details of the competition are available here on the Elvery’s Blog.

Ali Moves The Opener
Mohammed Ali’s memorial service in Louisville on Friday will take place at the same time as the opening ceremony of the Euros. US TV viewers will have the option to flick between the two as ESPN will be covering both events live though Ali, as one might expect will take top billing on ESPN 1 with the football moved to ESPN 2.

Let’s Go!
It’s the traditional pose for a departing team to stand in front of the aircraft bringing them to foreign field in search of glory and the republic of Ireland team set off yesterday on board their Cityjet flight bound for Paris.
The lads looked well in their suits and matching tan shoes and FAI TV was there with a behind the scenes camera to capture the moment. Imagine if such social content had been the order of the day back a mere 12 years ago when the team were heading for Saipan. Then again imagine if You Tube, Facebook or Twitter had existed then. Time flies…
