Sport will play a major role in the autumn schedule of TG4 revealed yesterday.
The Allianz National Football League Final back in April produced the highest ever viewing figures for the channel in its near 20 year history and sport is a cornerstone of the new schedule.
GAA is again to the fore with exclusive live coverage of the TG4 sponsored All Ireland Ladies Football Final on September 25th as well as the two Electric Ireland All Ireland Minor Finals, the U21 Finals, the AIB sponsored provincial club championships and the Allianz National Leagues.
A new series of Laochra Gael, produced by fellow Sport for Business member Nemeton TV will return with profiles of leading GAA figures including Dónal Óg Cusack, Owen Mulligan, Pat Fox, Tommy Walsh and Cliodhna O’Connor.
In rugby there will be continued weekly live coverage from the Guinness Pro12 and same day highlights of the four Irish provinces competing in the European Champions’ Cup.
Rounding off the strong sporting flavour to the autumn line up there will be live coverage from Listowel of the racing festival there later this month.
