Kerry Way UltraSporting achievement is something we are used to holding in high esteem.  Whether it is the performance of Seamus Callanan, the bravery of Kieran Behan or the success of Annalise Murphy and the O’Donovan Brothers, we applaud and cheer their efforts.

It is not only at the highest level of national and international sport though that achievements can be recorded which stop us in our tracks.

Screen Shot 2016-09-05 at 07.43.19Over this weekend John Boyle, the Director of Business Development and Marketing at PwC completed the Kerry Way Ultra Marathon for the third year in succession.  He is the first person to have done this and it was the way he chose to celebrate his 54th birthday.

Ultra Marathon’s are beyond the imagination of most of us.  This required completing 200 km, or five full marathons between 6am on Friday and 10pm on Saturday night.

It requires planning, perseverance and perhaps a drop of madness to put yourself though that once.  To do so three times is something we can only stand and applaud.

We salute you Mr Boyle.
