inver-and-munster-rugbyThey say that to capture a fan for life you have to catch them young and that’s the plan for Munster Rugby who have just signed a new sponsorship deal with Inver Energy which will give free junior membership of the Munster Rugby Supporters Club to 5,000 young fans across the province and further afield.

The sponsorship is for an initial three years and is the latest in a line of commercial deals that Munster have in place including with Bank of Ireland, Greencore, Adidas, Lifestyle Sports and eir.

The Junior membership includes invites to member-only events such as the Christmas Party, the opportunity to be a matchday mascot, coaching camp discounts, a birthday card from the Junior Club captain, 10% discounts on all Life Style Sports purchases, and a Membership Pack in time for Christmas.

Welcome

“We are delighted to welcome Inver on board as sponsor of our Junior Club,” said Munster Rugby Supporters Club Manager Jennifer Kiernan.

“Our younger members are an integral part of the MRSC and Munster Rugby as a whole and now, with the added support of Inver, we can offer the opportunity to a much greater number of children to officially be part of the team they love and support.”

“With many exclusive and fun activities planned this season, we look forward to welcoming all new and returning Junior members and hope that this is the first step to becoming a lifelong Munster Rugby supporter.”

Community

“Munster Rugby, the MRSC and Inver have a shared interest in our local community,” added Inver Energy CEO Chris O’Callaghan.

“Our company’s community focus looks for fun and creative ways for young people to engage with their community.”

“This new sponsorship will give young people all over Ireland the opportunity to join the Munster fan base, interact with and meet their team. All fans whether they play rugby or not can avail of this membership and I hope boys and girls will take advantage of this superb opportunity.”

Social

The MRSC Junior Club will be open for new and existing members to join on October 4th with further details to be announced on the MRSC and Munster Rugby websites and social feeds in the coming weeks.

Inver Energy has an existing commitment to youth through a ‘Think Tank’ initiative which gives a donation to education initiatives for every litre of fuel sold on its estate of nearly 30 forecourts from Kerry to Castlebar and east as far as Kilkenny.  That initiative has so far raised over €70,000.

The company will be dedicating a new section of their website to Munster Rugby and their association with the MRSC Junior Club. This will coincide with opening for new and renewing members on October 4th.
