Three weeks out from the biggest fight of Conor McGregor’s career, his coach and mentor John Kavanagh will be speaking about the management of such a talented fighter and showman at the One Zero Conference in Dublin on October 21st.
Kavanagh will speak candidly at the event about his ‘ringside’ seat, or Octagon side seat to be technically correct, in the global rise of mixed martial arts alongside his friend and student McGregor.
The SBG Head Coach will be taking time out from training camp to give an insight into coaching one of the biggest stars in sport, while also running one of the best known gyms in the world.
Kavanagh’s story is a fascinating one, and he will be on stage for an hour in discussion with Pundit Arena’s Richard Barrett.
Other speakers on the day include former cyclist Lance Armstrong, PGA Tour Pro Shane Lowry, World Cup winning rugby coach Sir Clive Woodward, Head of Innovation with the US Olympic Committee, Mounir Zok and Daniel Kings from Aspetar, the world leading sports science academy in Qatar.
“This will be the greatest day of learning about the future of sport ever to be hosted in Dublin,” said Sport for Business Founder and Co-Founder of One Zero Rob Hartnett.
“We have brought together a stellar line up of speakers and topics, with world leaders from the NBA, Two Circles, BT Sport and Sports Investment Partners to name a few who will be sharing their insight and knowledge.”
“It is a ‘have to be there’ event for anyone looking at leading their sport or business into a better future.”
