eir Sport has extended its GAA broadcasting rights as part of the new deal announced earlier today by the GAA.
eir Sport will remain the only place that GAA fans can watch live Allianz Leagues coverage on Saturday nights until 2022. The new deal comes into effect in May 2017, at the end of eir Sport’s current three year deal for Allianz Leagues.
Plans are being put in place to offer fans greater choice, more content and more live games with the use of new technologies.

In addition to the new five year deal for Allianz Leagues GAA, eir Sport has also added new rights to broadcast on-demand GAA clips of live and archive footage which will be made available across mobile and internet channels.
eir Sport has also added GAA archive rights. This will give GAA fans the opportunity to relive GAA moments from the past with up to four classic games broadcast each week on the eir Sport pack.
Clips from these archive games will also be made available across mobile and internet.

eir also confirmed today that it has extended its partnership with the GAA to sponsor the GAA Football All-Ireland Championship for a further year and this agreement will now run until 2022.
