The 6 Nations is a crowded space for brands to get a message across but one of the big advantages of sponsorship as a marketing channel is the access to assets and how they can be leveraged.

Conor Murray is one of the stars of the Irish team with few injury or selection questions over him and his personal twitter stream is a veritable shop window for the brands he is most closely associated with, Adidas and Dove.

Of the ten tweets he has published since the turn of the year, four have been on behalf of Dove, two for Adidas, one for Maxinutrition and three have been personal.

The lastest for Dove shows the value of engagement though inviting fans to share pictures of themselves in irish shirts using the hashtag #ScrumTogether and tagged @Dovemen for a chance to be at and involved in Ireland’s home game against France on February 25th.

The campaign is generating plenty of interest and boosting both the brand and Murray’s own personal value.

Replies and retweets to his message from yesterday morning are dominating the Dove stream and generating some imaginative responses including this one we like from Alice…
