There is fierce competition to attract runners to race in an ever wider spread of 5 and 10K road races. There is the Rock n’ Roll series with on course stages to rock your world, the Colour runs where you get sprayed with powder paint and night runs through the streets of Dublin and Cork, aside altogether from the series leading up to major Marathons.

Running under the streets only comes along once in a while though and as a result Focus Ireland are expecting to raise as much as €150,000 on Sunday March 26th when 5,000 runners are expected to race through the Dublin Port Tunnel for the first time since the eve of its opening ten years ago.
The Tunnel will be closed for the morning with the race getting under way at 0930 and open to runners, joggers and walkers of all ability.
The event is being managed by Sport for Business member Elite Events who also manage the Quest Series and were speakers at our January Sports Tourism Event.
