Sona, which produces vitamins and nutritional supplements in Dublin and exports to 20 countries, is now the official broadcast sponsor of the Ladies Gaelic Football coverage on TG4. It will be backing the sport in social media through #SupportLikeNoOther and has appointed ten time All Ireland Winner Valerie Mulcahy as Brand Ambassador.
As exclusive broadcast sponsor from now until the end of September, Sona will lend its name to advertisements and stings on the station’s coverage of all Ladies Gaelic Football games. In addition, Sona advertising spots will air during 60 other sports games that will be broadcast on TG4 over the coming twelve months.
With a presence in pharmacies in every county across Ireland, Sona has a significant footprint in local communities nationwide. This new sponsorship is seen very much as an opportunity to promote Women leading an active, healthy lifestyle.

“This is an exciting partnership for us, allowing us to support passionate Irish female athletes like our new brand ambassador Valerie, while also generating awareness around ladies football.”
“At Sona we have over 30 years’ experience in producing vitamins and nutritional supplements here in Ireland and we know the importance for people to care for their health with a more balanced, healthy lifestyle.”
“I’m delighted to be at Croke Park today to announce our new partnership with such a fantastic Irish company as Sona,” added Rónán Ó’Coisdealbha, Head of Sport for TG4.
“Sona understands the importance of supporting women in Irish sport and I believe this broadcast sponsorship will be a great success for ourselves, Sona and Ladies Gaelic Football.”
