Sport for Business will be hosting a main stage session at Predict 17 in the RDS today on the impact that data and analytics is having on the world of sport.

We will be joined for the discussion by Ray Boyne of Ulster Bank who doubles up as the stats and analysis man for Dublin GAA, by Cork City FC and Northern Ireland football team analyst Lisa Fallon and by Alan Swanton from the Sport Ireland Institute of Sport.

We will explore the impact that the evolution of data sience has had on how teams and athletes prepare, how sports stadia are managed and how engagement with fans through direct and indirect means has changed the game for sport in Ireland and around the world.

Predict 17 will take place in front of 800 data professionals and this will be a great way to tell the story of sport’s role within their world.
