We are building up to Sunday’s All Ireland Football Final throughout the week looking at how sponsors are getting ready to make the most of their involvement in what is traditionally the biggest day of the Sporting summer.
He will be hoping to play a part on Sunday having recovered from knee surgery but Bernard Brogan has already been involved in the build-up as part of SuperValu’s Behind the Ball initiative.
Brogan was tasked with surprising one of his biggest fans; 10-year-old Molly McNally by bringing her for a kickabout in her local club.
It made for a pretty special piece of content telling a story that goes beyond what most fans have had to face to support Dublin.
Molly has been through quite a lot for her 10 years having battled cancer from a young age.
One thing that never wavered through all of the tough times was her support for the Dubs and in particular her favourite player Bernard Brogan.
During the height of her illness, the two met for the first time after the 2014 Leinster Football Final and have since built a special bond.
In the run-up to the All-Ireland Football Final this Sunday, they met again and this is what happened…
