The GAA is hosting its 4th annual Healthy Club Conference in Croke Park this Saturday, October 20th.
The event is free and open to all GAA club representatives across the country with registration taking place from 0900 to 0945 and the conference itself taking place at 10 AM.
The theme of this year’s event is Healthy Bodies, Healthy Minds, Healthy Clubs and is designed to support, educate and inspire the GAA volunteers who are driving the Healthy Club initiative in communities across the country.
The Initiative gains significant backing from Irish Life and featured in the inaugural Sport for Business Sport for Social Good Report published in September.

This weekend’s conference will include a mix of presentations, workshops, and discussion elements.
There will be three breakout sessions covering the Ireland Lights Up, Fun and Run and Give Respect Get Respect Initiatives that have been taking place through the year.
Brid McGoldrick, National Health & Wellbeing Chairperson will open the conference, followed by a keynote address from psychologist Shane Martin.
Clubs are the building blocks of the association and very often the same within their communities in both urban as well as rural areas.
This has been one of irish sports great, if unsung, successes in the wellbeing space and Saturday’s conference will be well worthwhile if you have the time.
