#ThatOneDay is the hashtag behind eir’s new campaign in support of their sponsorship of the All Ireland Football Championship.
We played some small part in the thinking behind the campaign with a select number of media and agencies gathered to tease out what it was that made the GAA so special.
What was it that connected fans and players, teams and communities, across every corner of the country and beyond?
The output is in a campaign that will extend through TV spots and extended online content with the first element going live this morning at 10 am.
Here though is a sneak preview of what we can expect.
Tommy Bowe is front and centre stage stepping out from his media commitments as part of the eir Sports team behind the Guinness PRO14 to explore a sport he grew up in the midst of but looked at from an outsiders perspective.
The first episode brings him to New York’s Gaelic Park and a meeting with Shane Hogan who is one of the stars of the team that will take on Mayo in the opening round of the Championship, despite being born and reared in the Big Apple.
Last year they came within one point of beating Leitrim and while the idea of victory over Mayo may be stretching things the story behind they work the players and coaches do to try and make the miracle happen is a compelling one.
Have they the belief that on That One Day they can make history. We will soon see.
The series is produced by Sport for Business member Fifty-Three Six and will run throughout the Championship.
We will bring you the full piece when it is published later today.
