We have written elsewhere this morning about the event hosted by the IRFU marking Women in Leadership.
Today we celebrate #InternationalWomensDay and salute all the wonderful rugby women and girls. To mark the day we’re hosting our inaugural Women In Rugby conference focusing on leadership in Women’s sport. #IWD2020 pic.twitter.com/v5jgoH5mHc

We also highlighted on Friday the artwork that had been created in Dublin to mark the day as part of the 20X20 initiative.
This artwork makes us stop & think about the cultural bias which has existed throughout history around women in sport-and the need to change it.❌

Here is a selection from social media of the other sporting bodies and organisations that were making a statement yesterday and are pledged to keeping their commitment going for the other 364 days of the year as well.
Leading by example is of key to us at Rowing Ireland. That’s why we are proud to have a gender equal board representing our clubs and branches. #IWD2020 #wearerowingireland #WomenInSportIre #onecrewonevision pic.twitter.com/vcSn71SON2
