We were on air early this morning as part of a Morning Ireland report on RTÉ Radio 1 on a call to restrict gambling promotion and sponsorship.
This is clearly a very serious issue and is already subject to a major consultation process in the UK where the role of advertising and sponsorship of gambling companies around sport is far more prevalent and more valuable than it is in Ireland.
There will be changes and some of those have already been implemented by responsible gambling companies.
