Out of change comes opportunity and we have certainly seen the landscape of Irish sport change over the last 16 months.
We are pleased to bring you news this morning of the launch of Fulltime Analytics, a new Irish founded business aimed at driving digital transformation for sports organisations and rights holders through a data-led approach.
The business is underpinned by an advanced data analytics platform that connects all of an organisations data sources to help the sports industry understand their fans better and support commercial growth across ticketing, merchandise, fan engagement and sponsorship.
The idea of a single customer view and the benefits it brings has long been seen as a key to unlocking the full power of the information sporting bodies have about those with whom they engage.
Fulltime Analytics is a joint venture between sports and hospitality agency, The Hospitality Partnership and Platformo, a global data analytics platform powering cinema industry leaders Showtime Analytics.
The Platformo analytics platform currently has the capacity to process over 30 million customer records per month, and Fulltime Analytics have created a bespoke analytics and marketing software offering tailored specifically for the needs of the sports industry.
The product is designed to organise, analyse, and monetize data for organisations, something that has traditionally presented a challenge with information often sitting in isolated data silos and with different third-party suppliers.
Succesful Pilot
Over the past 12 months, Fulltime Analytics has worked on a successful pilot project with Shamrock Rovers. As part of the process of preparing for the market, it has also spoken to a number of international sporting organisations including clubs in the English Premier League.
The new company will initially be focused on supporting organisations in the Irish market but has plans to expand its offering to the UK and US by the end of 2021 utilising its strong network of contacts in these countries.
The business will be led by CEO Greg Slattery and with Jolyon Spurling taking on the role of Product Strategist.
“The sports industry is in the midst of a data revolution, and we are really excited to bring the capabilities that Fulltime Analytics can offer to the market,” said Slattery.
“Sport is unlike any other industry in the world when you consider the passion that fans have for their team, this creates really rich data sets which our technology uses to develop innovative commercial strategies for clients.”
“There is a huge opportunity within the industry for those that adopt a data-driven approach as targeted marketing communications at the right time will deepen engagement with existing fans and also make their brand more appealing to a wider audience.”
“Having successfully developed and deployed analytics products globally across the Cinema and Entertainment industry, our vision at Platformo was to bring our underlying products and technology to new and exciting industry verticals,” added Spurling.
“We knew instantaneously that the opportunity to merge our technology and the sports industry expertise of Greg and The Hospitality Partnership was a winning combination. This partnership has accelerated the creation and go-to-market of our new and innovative sports products & services.
Fulltime Analytics is a new addition to among more than 250+ members of the Sport for Business network of sporting and business organisations working together across a number of key areas.
