St Patrick’s Athletic has appointed Sport for Business member Sport Endorse as a strategic commercial advisor in the run-up to the Extra.ie FAI Cup Final later this month.

Sport Endorse will exclusively assist the club to further develop and secure long term commercial partnerships.

“We are really pleased that Sports Endorse have sensed the excitement around domestic football at this time and following their evaluation see the prospects and potential of our club within the community but also our footballing ambitions,” said General Manager Anthony Delaney.

“Our role is to build on the already strong sponsorship foundations in place, to help The Saints maximise commercial potential through key current and future partnerships,” added Trevor Twamley, co-founder of Sport Endorse.

“We are delighted to have the opportunity to work with Anthony and the board of St. Pats, to help introduce new sponsors to an exciting club with a great fanbase.”

“I was in Richmond Park for the semi-final match against Dundalk and the atmosphere was electric. The Sport Endorse team is going to try and help share that energy with key brands and to supercharge the Saints on their march to Europe.”

The global interest that can be created in an Irish team that is competing on a global stage can be seen clearly in the partnership deals which Cricket Ireland has secured with brands that are unknown to Irish audiences but who see teams capturing the eye of international audiences and want to attach themselves to that.

St Pat’s have partnerships in place already with McCarthy Insurance Group, Manguard Plus and Bill Griffin Motors all of whom appear on the shirt.

They have 24,400 followers on Twitter, up from 22,800 at the start of the season.
