Noel Quinn has been appointed as Head of GAAGO, a newly created role within the live and on-demand streaming business, after an open recruitment process.

The appointment was confirmed this afternoon by the Board of the Joint Venture between the GAA and RTÉ.

A native of Donegal, Noel takes up the role with immediate effect and will lead the OTT platform into its next growth stage, having only recently entered the domestic sports broadcast market for the first time, at both home and abroad.

He will be responsible for shaping the service’s long-term vision and strategy, as well as managing the existing GAAGO team and vendor partners.

With streaming becoming a bigger part of major sporting League’s long term thinking, including all the way up to the English Premier League it promises to be an exciting for years.

GAAGo is a partner of the United Rugby Championship in URC.TV which last week won the Best Streaming Service category at the prestigious UK Sport Industry Awards.

Quinn is currently a member of the Croke Park stadium management team and has a proven commercial and marketing track record in the areas of broadcast negotiation, partnership development, and brand building.
