There are some weekend that are great and some that are, well, less so. this was one of those that was in the latter but there were still some highs amid the disappointments of the Aviva Stadium on Friday and the Rugby World Cup on Saturday night.

There had been so much hope, so much excitement and then, all of a sudden, so much disappointment.. But that’s sport.

And it wasn’t for the lack of support from the fans in Ireland, Paris and even as far as the Sphere in Las Vegas.

Though there is always some joy in sport and the Irish Women’s Rugby team have begun their climb back with a record win in the inaugural WXV tournament in Dubai

A crowd of over 41,000 were there at the Aviva Stadium on a cold Friday night for the last home game in the Euro 24 Qualification campaign. It was anothedisappointingng night though.

And there is always another team to cheer on.

Peamount United and Glentoran were celebrating landing their League Titles over the weekend.

Our Olympic and Paralympic Games Partner PTSB launched their new branding and brand positioning over the weekend.

And it was a big weekend of coverage away from the brightest of lights on TG4
